Zip2Fix

Zip2Fix is a Windows solution for repairing compressed packages that were damaged during network transfer or due to a virus infection. Similar to PeaZip, it automatically scans the target archive and restores salvageable items to a separate location.

Data recovery

ZIP files are widely used for compressing and storing large amounts of data on the computer. However, a single corrupted byte might render the entire package inaccessible. The application aims to solve this problem by attempting to extract valuable information even from malfunctioning storage devices.

Unaffected items are copied to a new, functional ZIP archive. This functionality is particularly beneficial when processing large datasets. It is worth mentioning that Zip2Fix is lightweight and does not consume a lot of hardware resources, which is perfect for running it on low end machines.

Logging

All activity is recorded and displayed in the main workspace in real time. Users can view the results of each repair attempt and keep track of the overall task completion. There are important details about each job, including:

• The amount of recoverable files;
• Overall package size;
• Completion time and more.

Automatically collected logs might be saved to a separate text file. Resulting documents are helpful for troubleshooting and analysis.
