About Cura LulzBot
Cura LulzBot is a Windows application that allows users to view and process three dimensional models before sending them to LulzBot 3D printers. It is compatible with multiple common file formats such as STL, OBJ and Gcode.
Hardware configuration
After starting the utility you are prompted to select the correct printer model from the list of LulzBot devices. The next step is to configure various machine settings. It is possible to specify the physical dimensions of the printing area and choose the build plate shape. Supported Gcode variations include Marlin, RepRap, UltiMaker, Griffin, MakerBot and several other options.
Users can specify whether or not the machine has additional accessories like the heated bed, LCD screen and BLTouch module. The printhead dimensions and number of extruders are customizable as well.
Model preparation
There are instruments for slicing large 3D objects into multiple pieces to prepare them for printing. Moreover, you are able to automatically generate support structures for overhanging parts and other difficult sections.
An option to change the infill level is available. This function lets users find the right balance between strength, weight and printing time.
