Hex Workshop

Hex Workshop is a Windows utility for manipulating binary files. It is possible to view and change all bytes represented by a two digit hexadecimal code. There are instruments for exploring raw sectors on the hard drive or external storage device, bypassing the traditional file system.

Editing

You can import any file by dragging and dropping it into the workspace. The software contains tools for tweaking hexadecimal byte values, potentially altering the intended behavior, extracting hidden data or even recovering corrupted information.

Like in WinHex, it is possible to seamlessly switch between the hexadecimal, decimal and binary representations. This is helpful for interpreting data points with ease. Moreover, there is a hex calculator for performing complex arithmetic and bitwise operations on byte values, which is ideal for reverse engineering or creating custom algorithms.

Advanced tools

An option to unmask hidden structures within a file is provided. Supported data formats include ASCII strings, dates and integers. Additionally, users are able to turn raw binary values into colorful charts and graphs to identify potential patterns or anomalies.
