Boot Camp

Boot Camp is a program that enables you to install Windows on Mac computers and ensure your device works smoothly with the Microsoft operating system. The package includes compatibility drivers developed and made available by Apple. Alternatively, you may use various emulation tools, such as VirtualDek.

Overview

This software distribution that integrates various components and applications required in order to run Windows on Intel-based Mac machines. It allows your new OS to properly recognize and access the installed hardware. By default, the utility prepares your computer by creating a suitable partition.

However, it is necessary to mention that Windows does not provide support for the Mac hardware and needs additional drivers to be able to use the in-built camera and AirPort devices. The included updates allow you to quickly deploy the required components without having to download and install them manually.

Setup

In order to use the tool you need to copy the files to a USB flash drive and follow the instructions included in the archive. If you are installing Windows for the first time, it is recommended you read the entire documentation as it provides insights on the entire installation process.
