Serato ITCH is a Windows tool for DJs and musicians. There are advanced playback options for looping the audio and setting custom track cues.

Setting up and adding music

It is necessary to connect your MIDI keyboard during the installation process. Otherwise the setup wizard will have to be run again to integrate the drivers later.

The main interface offers users a file browser with all available audio files. It is possible to select directories to be included in the library. Additionally, users are able to add or delete tracks from the playlist. Tools for sorting the songs by artist, album and other attributes are provided as well.

Importing Audio CDs into the library is available. Moreover, your iTunes music collection can be added.

It is worth noting that this software is obsolete and no longer supported by the developer. It was replaced by a new program called Serato DJ.

Mixing and playback

There are controls for auto-looping the tracks, adjusting master output level and placing cue points. Buttons for fading in and out to seamlessly switch between the songs are included.

The waveform display shows different frequencies of the sound in colors. Red is for bass, green is for mids and blue is for treble. You can also select a more traditional 3-band spectrum view.
