PrimoPDF is a Windows application for transforming Word documents, Excel sheets and PowerPoint presentations to the standard PDF format. The resulting file is compliant with all specifications and can be opened on any computer with Adobe Reader.

How it works

After installing the program you can access a new virtual printer for exporting any documents to PDF files. There are tools for saving all contents or just certain pages. Moreover, you are able to choose between the grayscale and colorized options.

When the job is sent to the virtual printer it will be processed in real time. The progress bar indicates when the operation is complete. After that users can specify the destination folder for the final item.

Settings

This window lets you configure advanced conversion parameters. It is possible to adjust quality settings for creating PDF files of smaller size without losing too much resolution. There are 4 main presets: Screen, eBook, Print and Prepress. The first one is intended for saving as much space as possible, while the last option creates a large file with the maximum quality. Alternatively, you are able to customize advanced parameters manually by using the Custom tab.

Users can choose which action is performed after the transformation is done: open the newly created PDF file or immediately email it.
