Gatherer is a Windows extension for the popular World of Warcraft computer game. It records where you have found various items in the past and displays their positions on the map. This information is helpful for herbalists, miners and treasure hunters.

Installation instructions

After downloading the provided ZIP archive users can extract its contents to the Interface/AddOns subdirectory in the main game folder. The next step is to activate the new plugin in the Modifications menu.

Main purpose

Whenever an herb, ore or treasure is gathered, information about the exact location is saved to the internal database. The next time you visit the region, new icons marking recorded resources will be displayed on the minimap.

Other WoW modifications for extending basic map functionality such as GatherMate and Cartographer are available for download.

Configuration

Users can set the tracking distance in game yards via the Settings menu. Additionally, there are instruments for selecting specific item types that will be shown on the map. The maximum number of icons displayed at the same time is adjustable as well.
