With this application, users are able to record their screen while in-game. Moreover, they have the option to change various audio and video settings.
Game Cam is a Windows program that enables users to capture in-game footage. It utilizes its own video recording system and is controlled with the hotkeys.
When you are in-game, you can press the Home hotkey to begin recording. A preview window will appear and display the video that is being captured. If you press the key again, the recording will stop. The result will be saved to the default computer directory and can be accessed via the Video Manager.
Similar to Fraps, this program is also capable of taking snapshots. Moreover, the / hotkey allows you to toggle the applications interface during the game. Once it is brought up, you have the option to rebind the keys, as well as configure various audio and video settings. By default, the software records using the DivX codec, but it is possible to select the MPEG. Additionally, you can disable the watermark and change the output path.
Some users may find the preview window quite annoying and sometimes unresponsive. Fortunately, it does not show up on the captured videos. It is also worth noting that you cannot use the recording function unless you are playing a game.
