Elastix is a Windows utility for comparing medical images with each other. It is possible to automatically detect trends and similarities between multiple pictures. Please note that this program is oriented toward experienced users and does not have a graphical interface. All interactions are facilitated over the command line interface.

Main purpose

The application provides instruments for analyzing images acquired by X-ray machines, MRI scanners, computer tomography equipment and other medical devices. All items can be processed in Philips DICOM Viewer beforehand.

Sometimes additional clinical information is not apparent in a single picture. In these situations you are able to perform image registration operations for finding spatial relations and abnormalities in the data.

Instructions

Users can choose several components for the registration process. There are instruments for measuring, sampling, interpolating, resampling, transforming and optimizing the information. Additionally, it is possible to fix or move the image pyramid. All available command line parameters along with their functions are described in the provided manual.
