With this package, you are able to install an operating system developed primarily for netbooks. It has a simple and intuitive graphical user interface.
EasyPeasy
EasyPeasy is a Linux-based operating system for netbooks. It was originally developed for Debian and Ubuntu, but was customized especially for low-power computers and access to web-applications. The project is maintained as an open source distribution.
Convenient interface layout
The program features a streamlined and easy to use interface. It is well designed for the small screens of various netbooks. There is a small thin bar at the top of the screen that has a button which enables you to return to the main menu. Besides that, there are also indicators for WiFi strength, remaining battery power, speaker volume, date and time, as well as a shut down menu. This bar is visible the whole time unless you press F11 or go full screen.
The only negative thing about the software’s interface is that sometimes dialogue boxes are too big and the buttons located at the bottom of the dialogue window are not visible.
Summary
Apart from the big dialogue box problem, this tool works very well in most cases. Thanks to an intuitive interface, it is very easy to use and navigate on a small screen. The application boots in a short amount of time and can be easily updated with Ubuntu packages. Moreover, it automatically connects to the available wireless networks upon startup. If you want to create a bootable disk for this OS, you may use various utilities like Rufus.
