YamiPod is a special Windows program that enables you to transfer audio files to and from iPods. If you need to update the firmware on your Apple device, you may use iPodWizard.

Overview

The application features an highly intuitive interface, which both rookies and experts can quickly learn how to use. Main functions revolve around transferring playlists and tracks from the PC to an iPod and vice versa. Please note, iTunes is required in order to connect to the Apple device.

The main window of the tool displays all the artist names detected on the connected iPod, as well as their albums and track titles. You also have the possibility to create playlists for their preferred artist with a single mouse click.

Advanced functions

Other actions you can perform is to enqueue selected songs and apply personal ratings. It is also possible to modify the details, including the composer, genre, full album name or track number. Additionally, one is able to assign or edit lyrics to the selected tracks before transferring to the device plugged in to the computer.

Furthermore, when using this software to copy tracks from the iPod to the PC, you can choose the filename pattern for the items, so as to easily identify them at a later time.
