Woody is a Windows program for designing three-dimensional models of chairs, tables, wardrobes, desks and other home furnishings.

Interface

The main window contains several parts. There is a section with an isometric projection and three panels with 2D views of the model from different sides. All parameters of a selected fragment are displayed on the right.

Preview area lets you evaluate the finished object with materials and fittings included by rotating it in full 3D.

It is worth mentioning that Woody offers limited functionality for creating complex projects. Users can download a free alternative called Blender that includes more powerful editing instruments.

How to create models

This utility provides users with a large selection of templates for designing cupboards, desks, cases and other furniture. Moreover, there are included textures to imitate a wide variety of natural wood surfaces.

It is possible to add parts such as doors, shelves and drawers to the model. Smaller fixings like handles, hinges and locks are available as well. You can attach internal fasteners, dowels, grooves and screws that are necessary for structural rigidity.

There are special objects for designing kitchen furniture. Built-in sinks, ventilation grills, waste bins and cutlery trays help users quickly create realistic 3D models. Additionally, it is possible to import refrigerators, ovens and washing machines into the project.

Please note that Woody is distributed on a commercial basis. Projects created in the free trial version can not be saved.
