Swap Magic is a Windows utility that contains a specialized disc image for the PS2 console. It allows users to run any compatible title from a backup copy recorded to a blank optical media. Additionally, there are instruments for playing games unavailable in the default console region.

How it works

After downloading the archive you are instructed to unpack its contents and burn the ELF file to a blank disc. The next step is to insert the newly recorded CD or DVD into the console and boot the modified version of the internal operating system. Following that you can load the backup copy of any PS2 game created in CDGenPS2 or another similar program and play it without the original disc.

Additional capabilities

With the help of this software users can run region locked titles on any PlayStation 2. Moreover, there are instruments for playing DVD movies, Audio CDs and MP3 files directly from the disc. It is possible to transform the gaming console into a full featured multimedia entertainment center.
