About Solid Automator
Solid Automator is a Windows program for managing PDF files on the desktop. It is possible to validate the internal structure and optimize embedded images, significantly reducing the package size. Additionally, there is an option to transform scanned pages into editable documents by applying advanced optical character recognition algorithms.
File validation
Users are instructed to specify the paths to the source, output and error folders. The next step is to choose the desired PDF standard. There is a checkbox for verifying PDF/A compliance as well. Moreover, a custom timeout value in seconds can be set manually to speed up the operation.
Please note that original packages are automatically deleted after processing. Problematic documents are placed into the Error folder and may be dealt with at a later time.
OCR
Similar to ABBYY FineReader, you can extract text from scanned images, making it editable and searchable. There is support for a wide range of common languages, including:

- French;
- German;
- Italian, etc.
The utility offers users instruments to optimize the picture before converting it to the document. It is recommended to reduce the amount of colors in the image to achieve better results.
