Sibelius

Sibelius is a Windows software for working with sheet music. It is oriented toward composers, arrangers and singers. Users are able to write song sections for separate musical instruments. Additionally, there is a live playback mode for listening to new fragments. The project can be exported to the MusicXML format for further editing in Guitar Pro.

Templates

This utility allows you to write notations for a wide variety of musical instruments and orchestra types. Moreover, there is a large library of starter notations for beginners. Templates for the concert band, string orchestra, solo guitar and many other samples are available.

Editing capabilities

The included virtual keyboard is utilized for data entry. Alternatively, users can connect an external MIDI device. It is possible to evaluate new sections in real time with the help of the live playback function.

It is worth mentioning that the free trial version of Sibelius provides limited functionality. You are prompted to purchase a license for unlocking all features.

Users can convert MIDI tracks to notation and vice versa. There are flexible synchronization parameters for virtual synthesizers and sequencers. Options for integrating various VST plugins are provided.

You are able to save notation pages as images and upload them to the cloud storage. Several instruction manuals and beginner guides are included with the program.
