Pronterface

Pronterface is a free program for Windows that enables you to customize the operation of your 3D printer. Similar to PrusaSlicer, you can monitor the temperature. It is also possible to manually control the X, Y and Z axis, as well as the extruder’s motor.

Connection

To use the application, you have to attach the printing device to your personal computer and establish a connection. More precisely, you will need to specify the port and baud rate. The next step is to click on the Connect button. The console for managing the printer is located in the right part of the main window. This means you can receive information about the status of your equipment and issue control commands.

Adjust settings

One of the main advantages of this software solution is the ability to preheat the work surface before printing. In addition, you are able to directly control the movement along the X, Y and Z axis. The function of nozzle temperature adjustment is supported as well.

Printing process

The tool is capable of processing 3D models in STL, OBJ and GCODE formats. All you need to do is click the Load file button and specify the path to your item. You can also set the print speed. Moreover, you have the option to create macros to automate the execution of similar actions. While the printer is active, the home screen displays a graph of temperature in real time.
