picoCAD is a Windows tool oriented toward game developers and graphics designers. It empowers users to create pixel art and 3D visuals in retro style. Please note that picoPAD is a paid application. There is no free trial version.

3D modeling

The utility runs on a minimalistic framework, making it highly accessible for beginners. You can start creating new content quickly without the steep learning curve often associated with advanced graphics editors and development environments.

It is possible to manipulate UV coordinates and apply custom textures to any surface. This way users are able to generate visual assets tailored to specific titles. Moreover, there are instruments to render resulting models in different formats such as:

Export options

You can save output models as OBJ or MTL files compatible with Blender, Unity and other external platforms. This functionality is especially beneficial for adding last touches to the object before integrating it into the game. Alternatively, tools to generate GIF animations for posting on social media are included.
