Hideman is a lightweight program for Windows designed to help you browse the Internet in anonymous mode. Basically, this tool ensures that your identity remains uncompromised by hiding your IP address while you are surfing different websites. This means that companies or malicious online services are not able to track your presence.

Overview

In order to make sure that your personal information is unattainable for intruders, the utility relies on the 256-bit encryption algorithm. What is more, it sports a clean and simple graphical interface that presents only a few configuration settings to tweak. Similar to Invisible Browsing, you can view details about your current IP address, country, and city, as well as set up proxy parameters. It is also possible to pick the connection protocol, either UDP or TCP.

Additional capabilities

When it comes to configuration, you are able to toggle the tool to run at system startup, display notification messages, and select a country or server from a preset list. You also have the ability to sort the entries by name or priority, and refresh the catalog with a single click.

During our testing we have not experienced any difficulties, since the program carries out tasks quickly, and does not flash error dialogs. Moreover, the system requirements are quite low and the stress on CPU and memory is negligible, so the overall PC performance is not hindered.
