Filter Forge

Filter Forge is a program for Windows that was designed in order to help you edit images, apply built-in filters and create custom ones. It is worth noting that it can be used as a standalone tool, as well as a plugin for Photoshop.

General notes

The installation procedure does not prompt you to download any third-party products and is over quite fast. The application features a simple and well-organized graphical user interface. It consists of a menu bar and several panels that show the picture you are currently editing, built-in presets and filters. In addition, you can view a comprehensive Help file to learn more about different functions.

Supported formats

The software supports a wide range of import and export formats, including the following:

• DIB;
• JPG;
• TIF;
• TGA;
• PNG;
• PFM.

Apply and build filters

Aside from that, there are various integrated filters, from specific patterns to engravings, cross blur, film frames, sepia, grunge and old photo effects. It is also necessary to note that these can be customized from all points of view. Alternatively, you may use one of the provided presets.

In addition, you have the ability to search for particular filters, add them to a list of favorites, as well as create your own in a different window, by dragging and dropping effects and joining them.
