Accelrys Draw

Accelrys Draw is a Windows utility oriented toward professional biologists and chemists. There are flexible drawing tools for building models of molecules. You are able to adjust bond lengths and angles as well as customize atom charges and isotopes.

Molecular structures

The program offers users a vast library of prebuilt chemical fragments, rings and functional groups, allowing for quick assembly of complex models. Additionally, it is possible to import existing structures from various file formats like SMILES, MDL SDF or PDB.

You can fine tune ring conformations and bond lengths to customize the project. There are calculators for predicting chemical properties such as logP, molecular weight and pKa.

Please note that Accelrys Draw is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available. There are other solutions with similar functionality such as SYBYL X.

Reaction representation

Users are able to visualize complex chemical interactions with arrows, curved bonds and annotations. This is helpful for presenting new scientific findings to a large audience. Moreover, tools for exporting resulting data points to several common formats are included.
