OneNote is a Windows software for taking notes. Users can attach audio recordings, images, custom tags and URLs to any entry. Full integration with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is supported.

Note taking

The program allows you to make text records and capture short audio or video clips. It is possible to quickly insert screenshots and web page links into the note as well. An option to sort all entries into multiple notebooks is included. Similar to FineReader, handwritten text can be automatically recognized and converted to an editable form.

Collaboration

Users are able to share their notes with other people. This functionality is helpful for working together on a common project. There are flexible access parameters for limiting editing capabilities of individual participants.

Viewing options

You can change the default background color and add rule lines to the page. Buttons for zooming in and out of the workspace are included. Moreover, the provided Immersive Reader option lets you display the current note in fullscreen mode. There are instruments for translating the selected text to another language as well.
