mUSBfixer is a Windows application for formatting corrupted USB Flash drives and other external storage devices like hard drives or SD memory cards. The interface is straightforward and easy to use.

Main purpose

This software is intended for restoring broken USB drives by forcibly reformatting them. This functionality is helpful for accessing write-protected storage devices. There are instruments for recovering damaged folder shortcut icons as well.

Usage instructions

The main window contains a drop-down menu with the letters of all detected compatible drives. It is possible to refresh the list with the help of the corresponding button. After selecting the correct storage device you can click Recover Shortcut Folders to perform the icon restoration.

There is a button for forcibly formatting the selected drive. It is important to mention that this operation will permanently delete all data from the logical partition. This process can be used for restoring access to corrupted or write-protected USB storage devices.
