MIDIculous

MIDIculous is a Windows audio editing utility oriented toward both beginners and professional musicians. There are tools for recording audio tracks with custom filters and effects. A large library of musical instruments such as electric pianos, guitars, organs and trombones is provided.

Interface

The main window consists of a large piano keyboard at the bottom, notation board with the current song and multiple sliders for adjusting the volume of separate instruments. The octave can be shifted up or down for modulating the sound. Users are able to tune the speed and pitch values. Buttons for applying fade-in and fade-out effects are included. Additionally, there are simulated pedals for toggling sustain and soft modes.

Composing music

Like in KOMPLETE KONTROL, you can begin a new project or load an existing song for editing. Supported formats include LMS, LMV and MIDI. Moreover, it is possible to import audio and video files in the MP3, WAV, MP4 and MOV containers.

There is a media player with real time details about the current piano key, mode, tempo, beat and signature values. This functionality is useful for learning how to play specific songs.
