MicroManager is a Windows program for students and scientists. It allows users to record the signal from a microscope. There are tools for exporting the images in TIFF format.

Capturing data

This utility contains an interface for controlling almost any digital microscope. It offers you flexible settings for opening and closing the lens shutters and precisely positioning the filter wheels. Moreover, it is possible to move the camera sensor to better align it with the sample.

Users can click the Snap button to capture the data from a device. Alternatively, there is a live preview option available for adjusting the image. Several grayscale and color filters are provided for enhancing the picture clarity.

You are able to view all properties of the captured photo in a separate window. The exposure, saturation, focus, gain and other attributes are displayed. Color histograms and sharpness graphs are available as well.
