HamSphere is a program for Windows that allows you to turn your personal computer into a complete radio communications station. With the help of this utility, you can broadcast and transmit signals to radio hams from all around the world.

The process is quite straightforward, since all you need is a microphone, a pair of speakers or headphones and a JVM installation. Due to the fact that it relies on a simulation of the ionosphere in which your computer acts as a wave emitter and receiver, you do not need a ham radio license to use HamSphere.

It is necessary to note that advanced knowledge about the functioning of a radio transceiver is not required. This means you can quickly share your favorite tunes and current news with thousands of people, while also being able to part in custom events that take place on the Internet.

Technical characteristics

The application relies on eleven virtual bands and is also capable with Morse code and voice. In addition, double sideband modulation is supported. It is also possible to adjust the output between 10 and 2,25 kilowatts.
