Digital Movie Creator is a Windows utility for combining video clips, audio tracks and photos into home movies. There is a wizard mode that guides users through the steps of filmmaking. Please note that Digital Movie Creator is obsolete and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.

Interface

You can access all functions from the main menu or the toolbar. It is possible to capture video input, edit clips, apply special effects and preview the results. Instruments for adjusting the color scheme, contrast and brightness are provided as well.

Supported file formats include JPG, PNG, GIF, MP3, AVI and MPG. Users are able to import content from external storage devices like USB Flash drives, optical discs and memory cards.

Editing process

Similar to Honestech Easy Video Editor, this software lets you trim, split, merge and rearrange individual clips or photos. Tools for adding seamless frame transitions and title screens are available as well.

There is an option to add audio tracks to the project. Users can synchronize the playback with the music.

You are able to export finished movies to several popular formats such as AVI, MPEG, WMV and MOV. Moreover, instruments for sharing clips online or over email are included.
