WaveLab is a Windows utility for modifying and mastering songs, samples and other audio content. Noise reducing and volume amplifying tools are provided.

Importing files

After starting the tool users are prompted to add a new track to the project. The included file browser is designed for sorting and managing the music library. There is support for WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG and other popular formats.

Editing tools

You are able to trim the song and normalize the volume. Audio enhancing filters include blending effects, automatic gain control and other parameters. Fading, looping and mixing settings are available as well.

This software is helpful for restoring the songs from an audio-cassette or a vinyl record. Users can apply the filters for clearing up the unwanted scratch sounds and other noises.

It is possible to add special effects to the music and adjust the playback speed. You are able to tune the high and low frequencies in the flexible equalizer. All changes can be previewed before applying.

The MasterRig instrument allows users to convert the audio in any format. There are predefined profiles for a variety of mobile devices. Moreover, it is possible to create an Audio CD image. This option is useful for burning the music to an optical disc with Nero.
