Prepar3D is a Windows software that offers you a simulated environment for flight training. There are customizable weather effects and an advanced physics model. Please note that Prepar3D is distributed on a commercial basis. There is no free trial version.

Simulation

With the help of this program users can fly various types of aircraft in a 3D environment. It is based on Microsoft Flight Simulator X and provides a very realistic experience.

You are able to select one of the included planes or create a new one from scratch. Additionally, there are instruments for manually drawing terrain features, mountains, rivers and other scenery elements. Detailed flight plans for Prepar3D and other simulation apps can be generated with the help of Plan G.

Virtual reality

It is possible to connect a compatible VR headset to increase the level of immersion. This functionality allows users to learn aircraft controls in realistic conditions.

The list of supported virtual reality devices is located on the official website. It is regularly updated. Currently, you can use Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and other hardware with SteamVR API.
