Picaview is a Windows software that lets you preview the photos without opening them. The thumbnail size can be adjusted in the settings. A fullscreen mode is available.

Setup

Users can run the included executable file to install the tool. After the process is complete it is recommended to restart the system for the changes to take effect.

It is worth mentioning that Picaview is intended for Windows XP. There are utilities like Seven Transformation Pack for transforming this operating system even further.

Usage

You can right-click on any picture to display its preview in the standard context menu. The program settings are available there as well. The width and height of the preview section can be configured. Gamma correction parameters are provided.

Clicking the thumbnail will open the fullscreen view. It is possible to zoom in and out as well as quickly set the photo as a system wallpaper. There is an option to send the picture to the printer. Moreover, users are able to upload the image to the SendPix file sharing service.

Conversion tool is included in the software. There is support for BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, TIFF and several other file formats. Additional settings are available for some of the containers.

Please note that Picaview is a paid sofrware. The free trial version can be evaluated for 45 days.
