IZArc is a Windows utility for creating compressed packages and extracting information from existing archives. It supports a wide range of common formats such as ZIP, RAR, LHA, CAB and ARJ. Additionally, there are tools for encrypting sensitive information with a password.

Compression

After starting the software users can drag and drop source files into the workspace to prepare them for archiving. It is possible to choose the resulting format as well as change the compression level and method. Moreover, several encryption algorithms for protecting confidential information from unauthorized access are provided.

Extraction

Like in WinRAR, you are able to unpack existing archives to any folder on the hard drive. There is an option to pull out individual items from large packages to save time. Instruments for previewing certain types of files before extraction are included.

Configuration

This program allows users to integrate new items into the Explorer context menu for quick access to all archiving functions. A wide variety of compressed package formats can be associated with IZArc as well.
