CutViewer Turn is a Windows application that contains instruments for simulating CNC turning operations. Users are able to optimize toolpaths by manually editing the source gcode. It is possible to take a wide range of measurements from the generated 3D model.
You can process input gcode to create a realistic three dimensional simulation of the finished part based on the toolpath, stock material and other predefined parameters. There is an option to rotate the resulting model to examine it from different angles and perspectives. Moreover, it is possible to view all tool movements and the material removal process in real time or slow motion.
Please note that CutViewer Turn is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.
Instruments for automatically detecting collisions of the machine with the stock material during the cutting are included. Red marks are placed on the toolpath to alert users about potential issues. This functionality is very helpful for preventing costly and dangerous mistakes.
You are able to manually modify snippets of gcode directly in the app. Like in Universal Gcode Sender, there is support for syntax highlighting, line numbering and other common features. Tools for searching and replacing specific code strings are provided as well.
