This tool can modify ISO disk images for the Nintendo GameCube console. The main purpose is to add or remove data to make the ISO file the correct size.
Wiped GCM Fixer
Wiped GCM Fixer is a small Windows program that can help users to fix GameCube .iso files. It supports 1.4 Gb and 3 Gb disc image sizes.
Copying GameCube games
GameCube was a popular console made by Nintendo that used miniDVD discs. To protect the copyrighted games the data was encrypted. Only a few optical drives can read GameCube discs immediately. Others will require a firmware update to unlock this functionality.
When users try to make a copy of a game disc, they can run into a problem with incorrect size of the ISO file. Wiped GCM Fixer helps to fix that by resizing the game image to fit on MiniDVD.
It is important to understand that even after repairing the ISO file some hardware modifications to the GameCube itself will be needed to play a copied game.
Interface
The main window is simple and includes a file info section with the image title, size and status indicators. Moreover, there are options for tweaking the align method as well as auto detection and fixing of streaming files.
There is a known error – utility does not display if or when a rebuild of the file is done, so it is recommended to just wait 10-15 minutes after starting the process.
Please note that this software is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. Emulating old games from obsolete consoles is possible with programs like ePSXe.
