With the help of this utility users can visualize mathematical functions as 2D or 3D graphs. Instruments for surface plotting and dynamic tracing are available.
Winplot
Winplot is a Windows solution for students, educators and scientific researchers. It allows you to plot graphs based on parametric, polar, implicit and explicit mathematical equations. Resulting visualizations can be saved to the hard drive as bitmap or vector images.
How it works
The application seamlessly handles both 2D and 3D graphs, making it suitable for diverse mathematical needs. Users can select the required equation from the corresponding menu and specify integer values. The accurate visual representation of the source expression will be generated automatically and displayed in the main workspace.
There is an option to adjust plotting density and pen width. Moreover, you are able to tweak colors, labels and scaling. This is helpful for creating clean and understandable graphs. Instruments to export output images to the HDD are provided. There is support for multiple target formats, including:
- EPS;
- SVG;
- PiCTeX;
- Metafile.
Advanced tools
Similar to Mathcad, users can measure the areas of individual sectors, arc lengths and revolution volumes. Additionally, it is possible to set custom extreme values when performing statistical calculations.
Features
- free to download and use;
- contains tools for plotting graphs based on various mathematical expressions;
- works with polar and parametric equations;
- you can precisely measure arc lengths;
- compatible with all modern versions of Windows.
