Mathcad is a Windows program for creating and solving mathematical equations. It is possible to plot graphs and form matrices as well.

Included instruments

The main interface offers you a wide variety of options for formula construction. Any lowercase or uppercase Greek letter can be added to the equation. Additionally, mathematical constants and symbols are available.

The amount of displayed decimal places in fractions can be configured. Other formatting options include font, color and size of the numbers and characters.

Square roots and fractals are supported by the program. Moreover, users are able to plot visual graphs based on the entered formulas. Advanced functions and operators for creating matrices are provided.

When the equation is ready to be solved, you can press the Auto Calculation button to begin. It is possible to exclude parts of the data from the process.

Users can download another CAD program from the same developer called PTC Creo.

Additional functions

The tool contains over 700 built-in automatic functions. They are intended for data analysis, experiment design and statistics gathering. There are operators for calculating probability distribution parameters as well.

Please note that Mathcad is distributed on a commercial basis. The free trial version can be used for 30 days after installation.
