WalkGuard is a program for Windows that enables you to manage networked IP and Wi-Fi surveillance cameras. With the help of this utility, you can view multiple video sources and record in DivX format. In addition, there are motion detection and alarm functions.

Initial configuration

After launching the software, the main screen will appear. It is divided into three sections, such as Preview, Menus and a Function button. In order to connect your cameras, you need to select the number of devices and mode, either USB Cam or Internet Cam.

The next step is to enter the corresponding IP address, port, user ID and password. If there is more than one camera, it is recommended to set the settings for the others right away. Alternatively, you may try other tools, such as Argus Surveillance DVR, HiP2P Client or D ViewCam.

Recordings database

The application can also serve as a powerful database manager. All the recorded files will be stored in the location of your choice. What is more, it is possible to play recordings. The invoke action, either motion detection or time interval, will generate a new log and send the file to the tree manager.
