Unlocker
Unlocker is an application for Windows which is designed to erase the entries when it is not possible to do it in a usual way. For instance, if the system message says that the file is being used by another application. It also adds a new function to the context menu, which removes the restriction of working with such files.
Functions
This software is able to unlock almost any file in the operating system that is used by another process. It integrates a new Unlocker item in the context menu of each Windows item such as a folder, shortcut, etc. This option allows you to quickly unlock a file that cannot be accessed. Another helpful application for convenient data management is RegCure.
How it works
When you click on the standard context menu Delete option, the file is removed only if it is not occupied by any process, program or user. Otherwise, a system message appears stating that access to the target is denied. In this case, you are not provided with information about the reason for blocking.
The Unlocker menu item allows you to view a list of all processes that deny access to the file. You have the ability to stop them. The application lets you copy, delete, move or rename files. Command line operations are supported.
