Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit is a Windows program for backing up the BIOS to a file. The interface is straightforward and simple.

What is BIOS

The Basic Input-Output System, or BIOS, is intended for booting the drivers for storage devices, CPU, GPU and other hardware. Additionally, there are usually flexible overclocking options for the processor and memory. This software lets users create a backup copy of the BIOS for restoring the original program in case of technical issues during an update.

Sometimes manufacturers release a fresh BIOS version with support for new CPU models and RAM modules. The installation process is very easy on modern motherboards. Users can download the new version and set it up directly from the BIOS interface. However, if the integration procedure fails due to power interruption or another reason, the motherboard may become corrupted. In this case you can restore a previously saved copy of the BIOS.

Backup process

Like in SLIC Toolkit, users can click the Read button to test the compatibility with the motherboard. The next step is to create a backup with the help of the corresponding button. There is a checkbox for forcibly setting a custom resulting filesize.
