Undead Pixel is a program for Windows that helps you to deal with dead pixels, offering an easy way to locate them on the screen. In some cases locked pixels may be fixed through quick color changes, and this is exactly what this software tries to do.

Overview

The application comes with an easy-to-use graphical user interface that enables you to switch your background color to red, green, blue, black, white and yellow to quickly detect a faulty pixel. In addition, you are able to pick your own colors and run the cycle as many times as you want.

Manual mode

What is more, you can create a flashing pixel that you can move around the screen. The purpose of this feature is to give you the ability to place the cursor over the blocked element and unlock it with the help of the color changes. If you need to repair damaged video files, you may use special programs like Video Repair Tool.

Additional settings

It is worth mentioning that the utility allows you to configure the number, size and interval of flashing windows, with supported values anything between 3 to 80 ms. Thanks to its straightforward functionality it requires a minimal amount of system resources and works on a wide range of the Windows OS installed on the computer.
