This application lets users automatically synchronize text subtitles with the corresponding videos, adjusting the timestamps based on a reference file.
SubSync
SubSync is a Windows tool for fixing poorly synced captions that might otherwise ruin the overall movie watching experience. Similar to Subtitle Workshop, it works with a range of popular caption formats such as SRT, ASS and SUB.
Synchronization instructions
After starting the software you can specify the path to problematic subtitles and choose another file that will serve as a reference. The next step is to select the correct language like:
- English;
- German;
- Spanish;
- Italian and many more.
It is necessary to download speech recognition modules for precise syncing. Additionally, users are able to change the maximum adjustment period via the slider in the main window. This feature is especially advantageous for processing large packages.
Advanced preferences
You can configure the desired output encoding table in the Settings menu. Moreover, there are flexible file naming parameters to simplify complex workflows and speed up operations. Tools to tweak internal synchronization options such as the minimum correlation factor and output timing offset are provided. The system may be prevented from going to sleep during the process as well.
