SONAR Home Studio is a Windows program that lets users compose and modify songs. A large library of virtual guitars, pianos, violins, drums and other musical instruments is included. It is important to mention that the free trial version of SONAR Home Studio will stop functioning after a 30-day evaluation period.

Recording options

You can capture up to 16 mono or 8 stereo inputs simultaneously. Options for mixing MIDI tracks and emulated instruments are provided. It is possible to quickly apply fade in and fade out effects as well as loop or copy individual audio fragments. Similar to DJ Music Mixer, there is a collection of delay, echo, reverberation and compression filters.

Matrix view

This utility allows users to build loop-based songs. An option to display all tracks in the form of a matrix with separate playback controls is available. There are buttons for looping and overlapping individual elements.

Virtual amplifier

Tools for manually adjusting the tempo, gain, intensity, volume and other sound characteristics are included. You are able to configure every instrument separately and mix the results into a single song.
