SmarTTY is a Windows utility that lets you establish connections with remote systems and operate them via a command line interface. It is possible to perform software updates, manipulate individual files and monitor logs in real time. Unlike in HyperTerminal, there is support for multiple simultaneous sessions.

Connection

After starting the program users are instructed to select the correct communication port. Flexible link parameters are available, including:

Baud rate;
Data bits;
Parity mode;
Flow control and more.

You can initiate file transfers via the terminal, eliminating the need for separate FTP clients. The integrated drag and drop functionality simplifies data exchange between the local machine and remote directories.

There are instruments for connecting to encrypted servers with the help of RSA, DSA or Ed25519 key pairs. This streamlines the management of authentication credentials.

Remote control

The terminal offers users color coding, syntax highlighting and intuitive command suggestions for a seamless experience. Moreover, custom graphical applications can be run over SSH. TMUX and screen sessions are fully supported as well.
