SIDRA Intersection

SIDRA Intersection is a Windows software that allows users to create and modify street road layouts. It is possible to insert roundabouts, traffic signs and other elements into the design. Instruments for analyzing the operating cost, CO2 emissions and average fuel consumption are provided.

Road modeling

This application contains multiple premade intersection templates such as:

• freeway ramps;
• diamond interchanges;
• pedestrian crossings;
• various roundabouts;
• and other road configurations.

You can modify included layouts by adding separate elements to the workspace. There is an option to clone a part of the design for quick model construction. It is possible to change the traffic direction for working in countries with different road rules.

Please note that the free trial version of SIDRA Intersection will stop working 30 days after installation. It is necessary to purchase a license to continue using the app.

Analysis

After creating the layout, adding signal phases and inserting all necessary traffic signs users are able to begin model simulation. The analysis results are displayed in the Output tab. There is information about the effective stop rate, average travel distance, overall performance index and other technical details. Like in VauxCheck, users can evaluate CO2 emission predictions.
