Serif PhotoPlus is a Windows utility for creating new images and modifying existing photos. It is possible to insert text blocks into the workspace. Standard tools such as the brush, pen, pencil, eraser and paint bucket are included.

Editing process

After starting the program you are prompted to begin a new project, open an existing image or select one of the premade templates. It is possible to import photos from a scanner. Additionally, there is an option to create a new GIF animation. Supported graphics formats include BMP, JPG, TIFF, PNG and other common containers.

It is worth mentioning that Serif PhotoPlus is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. It was replaced with Affinity Photo.

Filters and effects

Users are able to add blur and noise to the image. Moreover, multiple visual effects like lightning strike or lens flare can be inserted into the project. There are filters for converting the photo to the mosaic, sharpening the picture and fixing the red eyes.

Layers

This app lets you create images with several layers that can be edited separately and easily rearranged. Instruments for saving and loading complex selection masks are provided.
