ScpToolkit is a program for Windows that gives you the ability to deploy drivers and an XInput wrapper for DualShock controllers developed for Sony Playstation 3 and 4. The installation procedure itself is very intuitive and straightforward, however there are certain conditions that have to be met by your PC.
Technical requirements
In order to set up the software distribution in your operating system, your personal computer needs to run on Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, or 10, with x86 or amd64 architecture. In addition, you have to install NET Framework version 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable package and 2013 runtime, along with DirectX. Last but not least, it is necessary to have an Xbox 360 Controller driver, which is integrated by default in Windows 8 and greater. It is recommended to start the deployment with Administrator’s rights.
Advantages
With the help of this simple utility, you can connect Sony Playstation input devices and use them on some Microsoft OS editions. It works in a similar fashion to DS4Windows, but does not provide you with any control-remapping capabilities.
