Rack2 Filer is a Windows utility that lets you manage large amounts of business or personal text documents. Various Ricoh ScanSnap devices are supported. You can import documents from the scanner directly to the database.

Main purpose

This software offers users an alternative for the classic paper filing system with physical shelves and folders. It is possible to scan all documents and organize them in a digital system. Users can create virtual binders and cabinets for managing invoices, financial reports, client accounts or other business information.

There are flexible display parameters. You are able to switch between the 1-shelf and 3-shelf views for easier navigation. Cabinet background pictures are customizable.

Binder settings

Users can choose one of the three binder types: normal, card or photo and adjust title font attributes. Moreover, personal color-coded labels are available. It is easy to add an image to the binder spine.

Importing documents

Pages acquired from Ricoh ScanSnap devices can be quickly placed in a corresponding binder. It is recommended to use ScanGear for obtaining images from Canon scanners. Alternatively, you are able to manually import text documents and pictures in all common formats.
