QSP Player is an application for Windows which is designed for making quest games based on text. A special programming language is used for this purpose.

The purpose of the software

This platform is intended for creating text quests. For this purpose, you can use either a specialized editor or any other word processor, such as Texter. In the second case, you need to connect to it a special utility that allows you to convert what you have written in the QSP file format. The application is oriented primarily towards experienced users.

In addition, you can download games from the developer’s official website. The files will include the corresponding extension. You just need to open them in the player.

Language

Among other features, the programming language used to develop the games, supports elementary mathematical operations with integers. These are enough to produce text quests. Many string handling functions are also implemented here. In particular, the processing of regular expressions, which allows you to establish your own syntax analyzer in QSP.

Additionally, you can use music, graphics, and many html tags when designing games. Finally, there is the possibility of collective work, where several authors code different parts of the project and then combine them into a single file.
