PreSonus Studio One is a Windows utility for working with sound. Similar to FL Studio, it is oriented toward musicians, audio engineers and producers. The song editor and MIDI sequencer are included. There is a large selection of processing modules.

Available tools

This program lets you connect to the PC various playback and recording devices. Moreover, a library of virtual musical instruments is provided. It is necessary to download and install additional plugins to activate all main capabilities.

Users can assign a separate instrument to every channel. There is a slider for tuning the sound volume.

Audio processing

After composing the track you are able to apply various effects such as fade out, reverb, echo and other filters. Additionally, this application contains several premade loops and samples.

All compositions are displayed as a sound wave for easier editing. Users can trim the track and delete certain parts. Playback speed and frequency range are adjustable. There are options for normalizing and quantizing the audio.

Various display settings are available. You are able to hide the editor, console, inspector, browser, track list and scratch pad windows.
