Power Racer 270 Customizer is a Windows program that allows you to configure the controls of the wireless racing wheel for Xbox 360. If you do not own the aforementioned console, you may try using various emulation utilities like DXBX.

Overview

This is a straightforward PC application that enables you to customize the three preset Power Racer 270 profiles. You do not have to install the software, you can simply run the executable file to use it.

First, you need to connect your racing wheel to the computer with a USB charge cable and launch the utility. You will see a user-friendly interface that gives you the ability to access all actions from a single window.

For each profile you are able to change the button layout, wheel sensitivity and turn on or off the different indicator lights. This is particularly useful for people who may want to save different layouts and sensitivity settings for the same game.

Button remapping

The program gives you the ability to choose which buttons are assigned to which control. You can remove the existing mapping from the buttons, after which you are able to assign actions of your choice.

Wheel sensitivity

Additional settings allow you to remove inactive zones and increase the wheel sensitivity by decreasing the size of the active zone, and thus reducing the distance which the wheel needs to travel in order to apply full lock.
