PG 8X
PG 8X is a virtual synthesizer program for Windows, inspired by the Roland JX-8P. The architecture follows the standard design with 2 oscillators, various filters and VCA capability.
Setup
In order to begin using this software, you need to install a compatible digital audio workstation on your computer. For example, you may use such popular utilities as Cubase or FL Studio. Then, you have to copy the PG-8X DLL file into the corresponding VST folder. If you cannot find the proper location, please refer to your DAW documentation. It is also necessary to note that after using the plugin for the first time, an additional INI file will be created. Thus, it is recommended to give it sufficient permissions.
Loading banks and presets
The PG-8X comes with its own preset handling system which is independent of the host. You can select them either by clicking on the number in the display, through the NEXT and PREV buttons, or using the MIDI Program Change input from the MIDI keyboard.
What is more, you have the option to import a bank or a preset from your hard drive. To do that you need to click the LOAD button that opens an operating system file selector window. Next, you can navigate to the folder of your choice and select the desired items.
