OrthoCAD is a Windows application that lets you view detailed dental scans. It is oriented toward medical professionals and students. There are tools for rotating and resizing 3D models. You can display or hide separate elements of the image.

Main purpose

With the help of this utility users can open files that contain orthodontic medical scans. There are control buttons for zooming in and out, panning over the picture and rotating the view. Alternatively, users are able to manipulate the camera from the keyboard and mouse.

Please note that OrthoCAD supports only proprietary 3DM files. To open several other medical image formats you can download Philips DICOM Viewer.

Advanced parameters

There are options for generating the frontal or occlusal projection. Moreover, it is possible to analyze the diagnostic summary and ABO DI scoring. Instruments for constructing an occlusogram based on the existing data are included as well. Users can preview the model before attaching it to an email.

Printing settings

You are able to adjust the page size and orientation. The image can be printed in the color or grayscale mode depending on the purpose. There is an option to include the background in the final picture.
